In the summer of 1947 a group of American architects visited England, Czechoslovakia and Poland to assess the development of the post-war reconstruction. The photographs were taken in August during a short visit to Warsaw. The team has prolonged their stay in Warsaw for a few more days so that they could meet the architects of Warsaw Restoration Office (BOS) and they described their work as awe-inspiring.

Latem 1947 r. grupa amerykańskich projektantów odwiedziła Anglię, Czechosłowację i Polskę, żeby ocenić progres rekonstrukcji powojennej. Zdjęcia są z kilkudniowego pobytu w sierpniu w Warszawie. Grupa przedłużyła swoją wizytę w Warszawie o kilka dni, żeby się spotkać z architektami Biura Odbudowy Stolicy i opisali, że ich praca budzi respekt.
